Pakistan’s liquid foreign reserves position

KARACHI: The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$19,818.7 million on Oct 23, 2015.

The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as follows: foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan are $ 14,918.3 million, net foreign reserves held by all the other banks are $ 4,900.4 million, while total liquid foreign reserves are $ 19,818.7 million

During the week ending Oct 23, 2015, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves decreased by $102 million to $14,918 million, compared to $15,020 million in the previous week.

During this week, SBP made payments of $123 million on account of external debt servicing and other official payments.
