Pakistan’s liquid foreign reserves position

KARACHI: The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$20,054.2 million during the week ending on  Oct 2.

The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as follows: foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) are US$ 15,202.0 million; net foreign reserves held by all the other banks are US$ 4,852.2 million; and total liquid foreign reserves are US$ 20,054.2 million.

During the week, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves increased by US$1,794 million to US$15,202 million, compared to US$13,408 million in the previous week.

During the week, SBP received US$505 million from IMF under EFF, US$500 million as proceeds of Pakistan International Bonds, US$376 million under Coalition Support Fund (CSF) and US$263 million as syndicate financing for Government of Pakistan.
