Pakistan’s GDP growth remains 4.2pc in current fiscal year : Dar

ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has revealed economic survey report for the current fiscal year.

He said that Pakistan’s GDP growth remained 4.24 percent in the initial 10 months of current fiscal year. He said that It was the highest growth rate for the last seven years.

Dar said that increase in the rupee’s value pushed down inflation. 97 billion rupees were disbursed among people through Banazir income support program.Finance Minister said that current account deficit was two billion dollars and annual income was 1513 dollars a person.

He continued that Pakistan’s exports to Europe increased by 21 percent receiving GS plus status. He said that different power projects of 7000 Mega Watt would be completed by 2017. He said that Export volume remained 20.18 billion dollars in the initial 10 months of current fiscal year.

Dar said that 116 billion rupees would be spent on LPG projects. He continued that they had issued Skuk bond worth one billion dollars last month.

He said that Pakistan had to face 107 billion dollars loss for war against terror in last 14 years. Dar said that the government had issued tax directory first time in Pakistan. He said that the government issued 6 billion rupees subsidy to maintain oil prices. He said that 1972 billion rupees tax was submitted in the initial 10 months of the current fiscal year.
