ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will not enforce a lockdown at any cost as it will destroy our economy, says prime minister on Sunday.

During a live interaction with public over telephone here, the prime minister cited that the Indian government had to pay after they enforced a lockdown in the country. On the other hand, we imposed restrictions in certain areas, he added. Pakistan had maintained a balance between the Covid-related standard operating procedures and the economy, Imran said.

He said that the Sindh government imposed a complete lockdown to stem spread of Delta variant but they should also look to other side of the decision to save economy.
