Pakistan have won the toss and elected to bat first against West Indies in the first ever Day and Night Test match being played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

Babar Azam and Mohammad Nawaz are making their Test debut in the match for Pakistan. Both of them performed splendidly well in the One Day Internationals and Twenty20s in recent series against West Indies and England.

This is the first Day-Night Test in Asia and overall second international game of its kind. First ever day and night five-day game was held way back in November 2015 between Australia and New Zealand. The host Australia emerged victorious in the game.

Pakistan who are playing their 400th Test match, already whitewashed visitors in both T20 and ODIs.

The Green Shirts made only two changes in the side which played fourth Test against England. Younis Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed were out in place of debutants Babar and Nawaz.

However, Younis Khan who has recovered from dengue fever will be available for second game of the series while Iftikhar was dropped from the side as failed to impress the selectors.
