SHARJAH: Pakistan have beaten England by 127 runs in the third Test to win the Test series 2-0 played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
England chasing 284 runs were all out on 156 courtesy of Yasir Shah’s four wickets and brilliant bowling of Shoaib Malik.
England skipper Alistair Cook was the only batsman who gave tough time to Pakistani bowlers. He was stumped on 63.
The visitors came out to bat on day 5 of the game with 46 runs on the board and eight wickets in hand. Pakistan straight from the beginning put spinners Zulfiqar Babar and Yasir Shah in to the attack which turned out to be the great decision.
Yasir Shah and Zufiqar Babar have dominated morning session of day 5, as England lose five wickets at lunch of final Test match of three-match series.
Yaris Shah provided the first breakthrough in shape of Joe Root while Babar removed James Taylor just after two over.
Then the batting line started to tumble as both Yasir and Babar picked one wicket each back to back overs, sending Samit Patel and Jonny Bairstow back to the pavilion.
Adil Rashid once again showed some resistance but was bowled on 22 by Rahat Ali.
Yasir Shah got the figures of four wickets for 44 runs while Malik picked up three for 26.
With this victory Pakistan claimed 2nd spot in International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings. Yasir Shah was the leading wicket taker in the series despite playing only two matches while Cook was the top scorer in the three match series.
