Pakistan win Pallekele Test to clinch series

PALLEKELE: Pakistan crushed Sri Lanka in Pallekele Test by 7 wickets on Tuesday and clinched the three-match series by 2-1.

Sri Lanka set Pakistan 377 runs target in the second inning to win the Test. Pakistan achieved the target by losing only three wickets.

Sri Lankan opener Karunaratne scored 130 runs and Tharanga made 46 runs in the first inning. On the other hand Pakistani bowler Yasir Shah grabbed 5 wickets and Rahat Ali took three wicket in the first inning. Sri Lanka scored 278 runs in the inning while Pakistani team score 215 in its first inning.

Pakistani star Imran Khan smashed Sri Lankan bating line and took five wickets in the second inning. While Mathews scored 122 runs. Sri Lanka scored 313 runs in the inning.

Pakistani opener Shan Masood made 125 runs in the second inning. Younis Khan scored 171 runs and Misbah  scored 57 runs. Younis, Shan Masood and Misbah played key role in the success of Pakistani Team. Pakistan won the three-match Test series by 2-1.
