ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has expressed concern over reports of recovery of 7 kilograms of natural uranium in India and asked Indian authorities to conduct a comprehensive probe into the matter.
A Foreign Office spokesman said in a statement on the seizure of nuclear material or natural uranium in India that 7 kilograms of uranium had been seized from an unauthorized person in India, which is a matter of concern.
The spokesman said that the seizure of natural uranium from an unauthorized person has raised many questions. Nuclear safety should be a top priority for all countries.
He said it was “surprising” to find nuclear material from a common man in India.
