ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Pakistan and the United States need to increase contacts to establish peace in Afghanistan.
He said this during a meeting with the US delegation which included Gregory Max, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Amy Beira, Chairman of the subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific, Central Asia, and Non-Proliferation here on Monday.
According to the declaration, the prime minister welcomed the visit of both the members of the congress to Pakistan.
He said the visit would play an important role in strengthening relations between the parliaments of the two countries.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that there is an urgent need to help the Afghan people financially.
According to the declaration, Pakistan and the United States were agreed to strengthen bilateral trade and economic relations.
