Pakistan to witness partial lunar elipse tonight

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will witness a partial lunar eclipse tonight (the night between July 16 and 17).
According to the Climate Data Processing Centre (CDPC), the lunar eclipse will begin at 11:44pm and end at 1:02am on July 17.Lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth’s shadow blocks the sun’s light, which otherwise reflects off the moon. A partial lunar eclipse is happened when the Earth’s shadow partially covers the moon. Whereas a full lunar eclipse is occurred when the Earth’s shadow completely covers the moon.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has also revealed that all phases of partial moon eclipse will be visible in the country. The eclipse will also occur in the Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America and Antarctica.
