Pakistan to raise voice against RAW presence in Balochistan, FATA: Sartaj Aziz

Pakistani Prime Minister’s Special Advisor on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz apprised the National Assembly on Friday that the government is considering to raise issue of Indian prime intel agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) involvement in Balochistan province and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).

Sartaj Aziz said that Pakistan to raise the issue in the United Nations (UN) and other international forums over RAW’s involvement in deteriorating peace situation in Pakistan. Sartaj was addressing session of the National Assembly (NA) on Friday (today) during question hour.

Pakistan had already raised the issue in last foreign secretary level dialogues with Indian in March 2015, Sartaj said. He added that PM Nawaz Sharif will also echo the issue in the General Assembly.

Replying to a supplementary question, he said the government has already condemned the recent terrorism incident took place in Gurdaspur police station in India and rejected the Indian allegations of Pakistan’s involvement in it, Radio Pakistan reported. He said it has also been made clear that Pakistan has the capability to give befitting reply in case of any threat from Indian side.

The house will now meet at 5:00pm pm on Monday.
