ISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said Pakistan will strongly raise the issue of United States drone strike at the United Nations later this month.
Winding up discussion on an adjournment motion moved by Senator Farhatullah Babar, he said Afghan peace process undermined by the US drone strike.
He said government prepared a detailed briefing for presentation to the Human Rights Council on the issue.
Aziz said drone attacks are serious violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and against the international, political and human laws. He said the present government has seriously taken up this issue with the United States and summoned its ambassador.
