ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakaria on Saturday said Pakistan would lodge a strong protest with India and raise the issue of violation of Pakistani waters at the United Nations.

Speaking to Radio Pakistan, the spokesperson said India has tried to breach our territorial waters and they have been pushed back by the Pakistan Navy.

Nafees Zakaria said New Delhi is trying to deflect world attention from atrocities going on in occupied Kashmir by escalating tensions on the Line of Control and the Working Boundary.

He reiterated that the people of Kashmir are struggling for their right to self-determination in a very peaceful manner.

The spokesperson further stated that the genocide and crimes against humanity in occupied Kashmir by Indian forces have shaken the conscious of the entire international community.
