Pakistan to become ‘digital country’, claims Dar

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar says all out efforts are being made to achieve the targets of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
He was speaking at an agreement signing ceremony among Microsoft, Ministries of Capital Administration and Development Division and Information Technology in Islamabad on Thursday.
Under the agreement, one hundred and seven schools of Islamabad Capital Territory will be computerized.
The Finance Minister said Pakistan will be converted into digital country, and signing of today’s agreement is a good omen in this regard. Dar said the main challenges facing the country, including terrorism and power shortage have been addressed, and the economic condition has improved a lot during the last four years.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Information Technology Anusha Rehman said the government is focused to provide modern facilities in schools.
Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said state of the art facilities are being provided at Islamabad’s schools. INP
