RAWALPINDI (PR): Pakistan on Wednesday summoned Guarav Ahluwalia, the Indian high commissioner, to lodge protest against another ceasefire violation committed by Indian forces from across the line of control, martyring a civilian and injuring three others yesterday.

On Tuesday, Indian forces opened indiscriminate fire in the Bagsar and Nezapir sectors along the LoC, martyring 50-year-old Noor Jahan and injuring three others.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will invite former Indian prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh to inaugurate the Kartarpur Corridor, says the foreign minister here.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi, in a video statement, said that the Kartarpur Corridor would be opened on 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Sahib celebrations in November.

He said that the decision to invite Dr Manmohan Singh had been made after discussion with all stakeholders.

Qureshi said that a formal invitation will be sent to the former Indian prime minister.
