Lahore: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Siraj-ul-Haq has suggested that Pakistan should the lead the Muslim world in the current situation arisen after the Israeli attacks on Palestine.

According to a local TV, the JI chief gave the suggestion to Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi during a telephonic conversation.

“It is important for Pakistan to play a leading role in the current situation,” the JI ameer said.

He added that a joint strategy should be formulated in consultation with Saudi Arabia, Turkey and other Muslim countries.

He said that the whole nation is on one page regarding Palestine.

Siraj urged that Pakistan should lead the current situation regarding Palestine. He said that the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) should come up with a clear cut stance on the Palestinian issue.
