Pakistan participation in champions trophy at stake after decrease in ICC ranking

LAHORE: Pakistan team participation in 2017 champions trophy is in doldrums as Pakistan team has been thrown to eighth position in International Cricket Council (ICC) ranking.

Pakistan lost three match one day series by 3-0 against Bangladesh and the white wash defeat snatched its seventh position on ICC ranking.

It is pertinent to mention here that eight top team of ICC can participate in the champions trophy.

The white wash against Bangladesh decreases three points of Pakistan and now it stood on 92 points and West Indies team got seventh position.  While Bangal tigers points have raised to 81 points.

However, still there is difference between the tigers and the green shirts points but if the tigers continued its outstanding performance in future it will be definitely could create problem for Pakistan.

On the other hand, former cricketers strongly criticized dropping of the team vice-captain Sarfaraz Ahmed from third ODI match against Bangladesh.
