Pakistan may goes to complete lockdown, warns Imran

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has warned that the country may go into a complete lockdown if the coronavirus cases continue to rise at the existing high rate.

The prime minister in a message posted on Twitter on Sunday said that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) had deliberately endangering the lives and livelihoods of people by continuing with rallies.

PDM will be responsible for the consequences if we are compelled to go into complete lockdown, Imran said.

He added that the country’s second Covid-19 spike data is of concern. There has been an increase in coronavirus patients during the last 15 days as 200 per cent jumped recorded in Peshawar, 200 per cent in Multan, 148 per cent in Karachi, 114 per cent in Lahore and 65 per cent Islamabad.
