Pakistan has made important developments to provide relief to Rohingya Muslims as Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announced $50 lakh funds to the crisis-hit Muslims in Burma.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has approved all recommendations forwarded by the special committee constitued to provide relief to the crisis-hit Rohingyas in Burma.
The committee decided that PM Nawaz Sharif would write a letter to United Nations (UN) and its Security Council to take earliest measures against genocide in Burma.
Moreover, Pakistan’s foreign advisor dispatched a letter to the UN General Secretary Ban Ki-moon over the matter. Financial aid would be provided to Rohingyas through channel of UN’s World Food Programme (WFP).
A three-member foreign committee of Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) would meet government officials during their visit to Burma to stop atrocities against Rohingya Muslims.
