LAHORE: Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the ruling junta in the country had not mended its ways even after losing half of the Pakistan of Allama Iqbal and the Quad-e-Azam and the remaining country was also not safe from their exploitation.

He was talking to the media at the Mazar-e-Iqbal after offering fateha there on the 139th birth anniversary of the poet-philosopher of Islam who conceived the idea of Pakistan. He was accompanied by JI deputy Secretary General Muhammad Asghar, JI Punjab chief Mian Maqsood Ahmed, JI Information Secretary Amirul Azeem and JI Lahore chief Zikrullah Mujahid.

Sirajul Haq said it was the height of ungratefulness that the rulers had not raised a single voice in support of the JI leaders in Bangladesh who had embraced martyrdom for their love of the Pakistan ideology.

He declared that the JI on coming to power would build Pakistan as an Islamic and prosperous Pakistan according to the vision of the founding fathers by getting rid of the corrupt ruling elite.

The JI chief said that Pakistan lost its eastern wing due to the economic, political and ideological corruption of the ruling clique. He said that those who had betrayed the Pakistan ideology were the national villains who caused the dismemberment of the country only to serve their personal ends.

He said that the Pakistan resolution had been moved by the great Bengali leader Fazle Haq, and the Bengalis had offered huge sacrifices for the establishment of Pakistan but the ruling clique had deprived the country of its ideology and geography both.

Sirajul Haq said that a corruption free Pakistan was necessary to safeguard the country’s ideology and geography, which was free from tyranny and where the common man could lead a respectable life.

He said that the Panama Leaks was the continuation of corruption and the JI was the first to raise its voice against the evil. He said that the families and the names mentioned in the Panama Leaks were known to the entire nation and all of them would be brought to accountability.
