Pakistan lauds cricketer Babar Azam over memorable debut

LAHORE: Pakistani cricket fans took on social media to laud debutant Babar Azam over his memorable performance in his first international match against Zimbabwe in Lahore.

Babar Azam scored a valiant 54 runs in the third and the last One Day International match of the three match ODI series after which the  fans of Pakistan cricket around the world lauded him on Twitter to the extent of making him one of the top trends from May 31st to June 01.

The match was washed out by rain but Pakistan grabbed the series 2-0 due to their earlier consecutive wins.

The cricket match was the memorable as Pakistan not only won the series but it was the last mach of a much awaited home series.

The conclusion of the series meant the world for the cricket hungry people of the country raising hopes that many other cricketing nations will consider their position of not visiting Pakistan.

Before Babar Azam today, the last Pakistan player to make his ODI debut at home was spinner Saeed Ajmal in 2008.
