Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan agree to boast bilateral relations

Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan have agreed to enhance cooperation in different fields including trade, power and economy besides signing agreements of disaster management and anti-narcotics in Bishkek during visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday

During the visit, PM Nawaz Sharif held meeting with his counterpart Sariyev Temir in Bishkek today and agreed to boost political exchanges and people to people contacts. PM Nawaz also led delegation-level dialogues and discussed cementing ties primarily in trade, power and economy.

While addressing joint press conference in Bishkek, PM Nawaz said that relations were deep rooted between both countries and Pakistan is willing to deepen ties with the Central Asian state. He added that both countries have common goals to establish regional peace and stability.

On the occcassion, the Kyrgyz Prime Minister Sariyev Temir said Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan have common history, culture and faith and the two countries have made agreements to increase bilateral cooperation in different sectors. He said that Kyrgyzstan was provided a unique opportunity to act as bridge between North and South after development of Pakistan’s Gwadar and Karachi sea ports.

It should be mentioned here that PM Nawaz Sharif arrived in Bishkek to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan after concluding official visit to Turkmenistan. Pakistani PM was accompanied by high-level delegation including federal commerce minister Khurram Dastgir, federal defence minister Khawaja Asif, state minister Jam Kamal, PM assitant Tariq Fatimi and political secretary Asif Kirmani.
