Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said that now we had to move towards smart lockdown as the existing restrictions could not eliminate the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking on a Telethon telecast, the prime minister said that the live program is being held to help the affectees of lockdown.
We now have to open shops for the sake of masses, he added.
He further said that the labourers were in deep trouble due to the lockdown.
He appealed to the masses to offer prayers at their homes during the month of Ramazan. Don’t unnecessarily come out of your homes. Strictly follow standard operation procedures if you visit mosques, he added.
Khan said that the government was trying to bring the rate of interest down.
He said that Sindh received more funds than any other province under the Ehsas Program.
