ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria says Pakistan has fulfilled its commitment to peace and stability in Afghanistan by participating in Heart of Asia (HoA) Conference in India.

In an interview on Monday, he said despite all odds and hurdles Pakistan remained steadfast to this commitment.

He said in the joint declaration of the conference the issue of terrorism has been mentioned in an overall context. This has clarified Pakistan’s stance that terrorism is a global threat and a common enemy which needs to be curtailed by joint efforts.

He said Pakistan is among the worst affected countries of terrorism. We have rendered numerous sacrifices in war against terrorism which have been acknowledged by the world community.

He said many countries have expressed the desire to learn from Pakistan’s experience of counter-terrorism.

Foreign Office spokesperson said a country which makes much hue and cry over terrorism is itself patronizing this scourge. A glaring example of this can be witnessed in occupied Kashmir where the state forces have been brutalizing the innocent people who are raising demand for freedom.

He said the examples of involvement of that country in financing and perpetrating terrorist activities inside Pakistan are also available and the evidence of which was submitted by Islamabad in a dossier.

He said the biggest proof of its involvement is arrest of a spy Kulbashan Yadav from Balochistan.
