ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Sunday expressed its dismay and surprise over Indian government’s reaction to sale of F-16 aircraft to Pakistan.
Responding to media queries over Indian reaction to US decision on F-16 sale, Spokesperson of the Foreign Office said “We are surprised and disappointed at the Indian Government’s reaction. Their army and arsenal stock is much larger and they are the largest importer of defence equipment.”
With regard to F-16 sale, the Foreign Office spokesperson in a press statement said that Pakistan and the United States closely cooperated in countering terrorism.
The US spokesperson had clearly announced that the sale was to enhance precision strike capability of Pakistan.
