ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Monday reiterated its stance on drone attack as the Foreign Office (FO) condemned the latest US drone attack in the North Waziristan.
The FO statement said “We condemn such strikes which are a clear violation of Pakistan s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
The statement reads that “These generate distrust among the local populace at a time when Operation Zarb-e-Azab is moving ahead decisively and the focus of the Government is shifting towards rehabilitation of the civilian population,” the FO said.
The Foreign Office repeated its call for a cessation of such strikes.
It is pertinent to mention here that at least five people were killed in the drone attack in North Waziristan`s Mana area of North Waziristan on Sunday.
