ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Federal Minister of Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said that Pakistan signed agreements and Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) worth $45 billion with China while Pakistan-China Economic Corridor project was not aiming to let down any country.
Ahsan Iqbal said that anti-state motives were trying to defame the economic corridor project through spreading controversies. He said that Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Pakistan was traumatised India. Ahsan Iqbal was addressing press conference along with Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rasheed in Islamabad.
Iqbal said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had ensured completion of majority of the development projects by 2017 while Pakistan emerged with identity as major investment centre around the world.
National economic would boost to its peak followed by countering severe power crisis in Pakistan, Iqbal said. He claimed that Pakistan had been identified as ‘paradise of terrorists’ in 2001 but now investors of Middle East and Europe were looking towards Pakistan.
