Pakistan capable enough to protect, defend itself: Dr Musadik

ISLAMABAD: Spokesman to the Prime Minister Dr Musadik Malik has said Pakistan was capable enough to protect and defend itself in any situation.

Pakistan was prepared to face any aggression but at present it was not threatened with any adventure of war, he said talking to PTV.

He said civil and military leadership had told that Pakistan was ready for war or peace dialogue with India.

Pakistan had conducted war exercise to prepare itself for any untoward situation, he added. He said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had courageously delivered a comprehensive speech in United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and highlighted Indian atrocities and barbarism against innocent Kashmiris in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK).

Dr Musadik Malik said the Prime Minister had suggested to UNGA to dispatch its team to investigate and look into Indian brutalities on people of Kashmir.

Parliamentarians’ delegations would visit various countries to highlight Indian atrocities and human rights violations in occupied valley to put pressure on India, he added.

The PM spokesman said the nation, government and all political parties were on same page regarding Kashmir issue.

After return of the Prime Minister from UNGA, the formal and informal meetings with opposition would be held to evolve a consensus on Kashmir issue, he added.

Replying to a question, he said the notices had been issued to owners of offshore companies mentioned in Panama Papers.

The notices would be issued to people whose names were mentioned in Bahamas Leaks.
