ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Belarus on Friday (today) signed a series of MoUs and agreements for cooperation in different areas in Islamabad.
The MoUs are related to cooperation in science and technology, investment, agriculture, industries and defense production, education, media, culture and law and justice.
One of the MoUs envisages the establishment of consultation mechanism between the foreign ministries of the two countries. While another agreement envisaged the establishment of joint business council.
Later, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also hosted a luncheon in honor of the visiting Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and members of his delegation.
Earlier the Belarus President was accorded with warm welcome and he was given guard of honor on reaching the Prime Minister house.
