KARACHI: Pakistan on Monday beat West Indies by 63 runs in the first game of the three-match T20I series played at the Karachi’s National Stadium.

West Indian captain won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first. Despite losing early wickets, the greenshirts scored 200 for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Chasing the massive target, the visitors were bowled put for 137 runs in 19 overs. Shai Hope scored 31 while Rovman Powell made 23 runs.

Pakistani bowlers regularly picked up the wickets. Muhammad Wasim took four wickets, Shadab Khan three while Haris Rauf, Muhammad Nawaz and Shaheen Shah Afridi took one each.
