ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Bahrain continue to strengthen their existing multifaceted relations and the visit of Minister of National Health Services Ms Saira Afzal Tarar to Bahrain has paved the way for expanding bilateral ties in the field of health sector.
Pakistan and Bahrain have agreed to exploit the enormous potential for enhancing cooperation in specialized healthcare, knowledge sharing, post-graduate training, pharmaceutical and surgical goods exports, said a statement issued by the Foreign Office here Wednesday.
Minister Saira Afzal Tarar was warmly welcomed by the Bahraini Minister of Health, who reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to further develop the bilateral relations and enhance mutual support to each other on regional and international forums. She extended an invitation to her Bahraini counterpart to visit Pakistan.
During her visit to Bahrain, the Minister of Health also held meetings with other Bahraini dignitaries to discuss the details of proposed construction of King Hamad University of Nursing and Associated Medical Sciences in Islamabad.
