KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday issued fresh death warrants for the execution of a murder convict Shafqat Hussain.
This is the fourth time that a black warrant has bee issued for the death row prisoner whose actual age created a lot of confusion among authorities and Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs).
NGOs in Pakistan actively campaigned for his execution to be defered claiming he was underage, the claim proved to be untrue as the picture circulated on social media showed a lot younger Hussain.
The prisoner was convicted of kidnapping and killing a seven year old from an apartment building where he worked as a guard.
Shafqat will finally be hanged on June 9, 2015 in Karachi Central Jail.
