Pakistan Army rescues Solvenian climber from Karakoram

RAWALPINDI: A Pakistan Army helicopter rescued a Slovenian mountaineer Kajetan Rock Decman from Karakoram.

According to a statement released by ISPR, an Army Aviation helicopter rescued the Slovenian climber in Northern Areas.

Mr Kajetan Rock Decman, a Slovenian climber who fell sick during Karakoram expedition at height of about 6000 M( 18000 F) was rescued by Army Aviation Helicopters, he was a part of a seven member Karakoram expedition.

When reached at 6000 M, International Hiking and Altitude Expedition Camp (IHEC) he suffered high altitude sickness.

A rescue request was received by Army which was immediately responded to save the precious life by sending army aviation helicopters.

The Slovenian climber has been evacuated to Skardu and he is stable.
