LAHORE, July 02 (INP): Acting Ameer of Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Liaqat Baloch has said that persistent confrontation between Pakistan and Afghanistan was the agenda of the colonial powers having Satanic designs but the people of the two countries would foil the enemy game. He was addressing the Steering committee of the Defae Pakistan Council at Mansoora.
The JI acting chief said it was in the enemy interest that hostilities continued between Pakistan and Afghanistan and in the region. However, he said, the people of the two countries wanted to live in peace as good neighbours. He said the enemy powers wanted to deprive the Afghan people of peace, progress and respect.
Liaqat Baloch said that peace in Afghanistan was inevitable for the honorable return of the Afghan refugees to their country. He stressed that the US and NATO troops should withdraw from Afghanistan and the Afghan government should cancel all security pacts with the US signed under pressure so that the Afghan people were free to elect their leadership.
The JI acting chief expressed grave concern over the repeated incidents of terrorism in Turkey. He however said that the Turkish people were united under their President and they would foil the conspiracies of the world powers.
Liaqat Baloch lauded the supply of basic human needs to the besieged Gaza people through the Freedom flotilla and said the move was commendable.
Referring to the Bangladesh situation, the JI acting Ameer said that the fire of vengeance of BD Premier Hasina Wajid had not cooled down as yet. He said that Bangladesh was being driven to total destruction.
He said the unlawful killings in Bangladesh and dictatorial policies were most condemnable. He said that India wanted to destabilize Bangladesh through the puppet regime and then to swallow it. He said that Pakistan’s foreign policy had failed to stop the bloodshed in Bangladesh.
