KARACHI: Overseas Pakistanis has sent 14.96 billion dollars remittances in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year. The remittances are increased by 16 percent as compare to the previous fiscal year.
State Bank of Pakistan statistics revealed that in April 2015, overseas Pakistanis of European Union, Saudi Arabia, UAE, USA, UK, and Gulf countries had sent remittances of 519.68 million dollars, 395.69 million dollar, 233.85 million dollar, 174.47 million dollar,190.59 million dollars and 26.87 million dollars respectively to Pakistan.
