ISLAMABAD: Over 150,000 people will contract the coronavirus by May 30 in the country, according to the health ministry data.
The data suggests that the graph of confirmed cases would flatten in the month of June. In July, the graph will start declining, the data shows.
According to the health ministry data, the stock of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ventilators is sufficient for the month of May. However, in June there will be a shortage of them.
Earlier, Sindh government spokesman Murtaza Wahab had announced that the ongoing lockdown restrictions would continue throughout the holy month of Ramazan.
He recalled that on April 23 the Sindh home department had issued a notification, saying the lockdown put in place before Ramazan would continue till the end of the holy month.
Wahab clarified that the said notification is valid till to date. He added that the Sindh government had no plan to withdraw the notification.
The spokesperson said that only few sectors had been allowed to reopen.
