Before the Iftar, the organizers recited verses from the Holy Quran and then provided information about the significance of the holy month.

‘Taraweeh prayers for the first time in Times Square’ was broadcast on social media on the first day of Ramazan.

“We are here to explain our religion to those who do not know what Islam is, Islam is a religion of peace,” the Muslim administration, which organizes Taraweeh and Iftar in Times Square, told American media in an interview. ۔

It should be noted that this was the first time that such a religious gathering for Muslims was seen in Times Square.

Last week, in the city of Minneapolis in the US state of Minnesota, the call to prayer was allowed in mosques during Ramazan.

According to a foreign news agency, the call to prayer will be given in the local mosques of Minneapolis during Ramadan.

Jamal Usman, a member of the city council, introduced the bill in the name of equality, which was approved by the council. The bill allowed the call to prayer on loudspeakers from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm.

According to the approval of the bill, three azans (limit of 70 decibels) can be given in a day in the city.

Earlier, 35 mosques in German city Cologne, including the country’s largest mosque had been permitted to broadcast Friday’s prayer to call over loudspeakers.

In this connection, an agreement has been inked between the Muslim community living in Cologne and the local administration.
