QUETTA: Commander Southern Command Lt General Aamir Riaz on Sunday said that if the nation remained united no one could harm the country.
Anti-state elements opposed development of Pakistan, he said addressing different ceremonies and programs held in connection with Pakistan Independence Day celebrations here.
Lt Gen Aamir Riaz said: “Terrorists will be brought to justice at any cost. No enemy can harm the interests of Pakistan if we all remain united to foil nefarious designs of the enemies of the country.”
The Commander Southern Command said that Pakistan was going to become a big economic power of the world. “China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) and several other development projects are being executed in Balochistan which would be major beneficiary of them,” he said.
“Our enemies are not tolerating CPEC and our fast growing economy.”
“India is fully opposing development of Pakistan but it will be not allowed to implement its nefarious designs on the land of our homeland,” he vowed.
He said the personnel of security forces, lawyers, journalists and common people were martyred in acts of terrorism during last 12 years. “Pakistan Army will continue playing its role as custodian of the country,” he said.
