KARACHI: The deadlock between federal and Sindh governments on the issue of Rangers’ powers is still unresolved as Sindh Information Advisor Moula Bakhsh Chandio on Thursday said that the federal government’s ordinance will not be welcomed.

Talking to media in Karachi, Chandio said that the ordinance will not be helpful for releasing the tension between Centre and Sindh. He said that Sindh government doesn’t want to revolt but the ordinance would not be welcomed. He said that Chaudhry Nisar should come to Karachi as Interior Minister.

Chandio said that Interior Minister had claimed earlier that Islamic State (IS) does not exist in Pakistan but now people are being arrested from various parts of Punjab. “Those trying to look for terrorism in Sindh should tell us if there is no threat of terrorism in Punjab”, said Chandio.
