Orange Line Metro Train project key part of CPEC: China

Beijing: Chine has termed the Orange Line Metro Train project an example of Pak-China partnership.

In a statement, a Chinese foreign ministry  spokesperson said that the Orange Line Metro Train project was an important part of the CPEC.

He said that work on the CPEC alongwith Pakistan would continue.

Earlier on Sunday, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had inaugurated the metro train project.

The metro train operates from Dera Gujran to Ali Town covering a distance of 27 kilometers. Each train will carries 1,000 passengers. The service is available from 7am morning to 8pm at night daily.

The government had recently fixed the single journey fare of the metro train at Rs40. However, the citizens of Lahore have demanded of the provincial transport department to reduce the fare.
