Opposition resort to media trial of govt, leveling baseless allegations: Saad

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique says Opposition parties have resorted to media trial of government leveling baseless allegations over the issue of Panama papers.

Talking to media persons here on Monday, he said fifteen questions of opposition are not Terms of Reference while government is ready to amend the law of 1956 to prepare ToRs.

The Minister said opposition members tried to include name of Prime Minister in ToRs without any justification and in democracy nobody can dictate others.

He said that government neither like to back out from its earlier stance nor want delay in process and we are still ready to move forward in a professional manner.

Minister for Law, Zahid Hamid on this occasion said the inquiry commission will act under Supreme Court and it will decide the questions for investigation.

He said government stance over Panama papers is quite clear and we will follow the procedure laid down under law and constitution.

He said those who possess off shore companies will be investigated indiscriminately.

Minister for Information Technology, Anusha Rehman on this occasion said that opposition pressurizing to include name of Prime Minister in ToRs.

She said PPP want to change the mode of legislation which is not possible as Judicial Commission earlier were also constituted through ordinances.
