GUJRANWALA: The district administration has launched an operation to remove the hoardings and banners of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) rally to be held on October 16 in the city.

Six teams of the local administration are taking part in the ongoing operation.

The local administration said that the placement of banners is not allowed. It warned of taking action if violation is committed. About the hoardings, the administration was of the view that it was a matter related to payment of tax. If the tax is paid then the PML-N leadership may contact the Punjab Housing Authority.

The opposition’s alliance PDM has announced to hold the first anti-government rally in Gujranwala on October 16. In this connection, arrangements are being made.
