Pakistani Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif said that Operation Zarb-e-Azb will ensure terror-free Pakistan and the region. He added that the military operation was a comprehensive concept in war against terrorism.
COAS was addressing at Centre of International Study in Rome to give perspectives on international security during his ongoing visit to Italy.
He said that the world terrorism is a conflict but for Pakistan it is war for survival. He said that enemies of the country are stocking terrorism to destabilise Pakistan. He added that terrorists will not be allowed to re-establish through better border control system with Afghanistan and all the areas will be rebuilt, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG-ISPR) tweeted.
General Raheel Sharif said that terrorism has attacked our common roots which needed to be eliminated at earliest. He urged for immediate global response against the security threats as only way to win war against terrorism was to continue joint efforts.
COAS said that Pakistan and Afghanistan are inseparable and peace in one country is necessary for peace establishment in other country. He said Pakistan is making sincere efforts for reconciliation and still all should beware of detractors and spoilers who challenged peace and prosperity both in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
International community acknowledged Pakistani efforts in Afghan reconciliation process while Pakistani perspectives on international security were widely accepted and appreciated by the audience, intelligentsia and senators, DG ISPR tweeted.
