KARACHI: At least one person died and four others were injured when a portion of roof of a hotel collapsed here on Saturday.
Rescue sources said that a portion of roof of a hotel located near Maskan Chowrangi, Gulshan-e-Iqbal Karachi suddenly came down.
Five people were trapped under the rubble who were retrieved by rescue personnel and shifted to a nearby private hospital where 60-year-old Syed Muhammad Razi succumbed to his injuries.
Four injured including the security guard Mehmoob Ali, Rizwan, Tasawar and Imtiaz were under treatment.
Additional Deputy Commissioner East, Muhammad Khan said that strict will be taken against the responsible of the incident.
