LAHORE: Former Pakistan hockey team right-back Olympian Arshad Chaudhury passed away after long illness in Lahore.
Former selector of Pakistan was not in the best of his health for a while and today (Thursday) he passed away.
His funeral prayers will be held in 38 Usman in New Garden Town after Isha prayers in Lahore. He was 65 year-old.
The brother in law of legendary Akhtar Rasool was born on April 10, 1950 in Faislabad and made his debut for Pakistan in 1971 and retired in 1976.
He played 33 matches for Pakistan and won silver medal in 1975 third World Cup Hockey, held at Kualalumpur while Bronze in 1976 Summer Olympics.
