Obama criticizes Iran before Camp David Summit

WASHINGTON: Unites States President Barack Obama assured the Arab world that he saw Iran as a troublemaker and was also committed to restore a separate independent state for the Palestinian Muslims. This he said before Camp David Summit.

He said in an interview that Iran was engaged in destabilizing other countries of the region. Obama expressed his wish to make peace between Israelis and Palestinians. He said that Iran was a state sponsor terrorism in the world.

He said that Gulf countries were right to be concerned about Iran because it was a state sponsor of terrorism.

Obama said that Iran supported the Assad regime in Syria. It supported Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. It provided weapons to the Houthi rebels in Yemen. So countries in the region were right to concerned about Iran.

Obama said he was committed to the creation of a separate Palestinian state. He said that they had been working for Israeli security and Palestinian sovereignty for several years.
