DUBAI: Now the unmarried couples can live together and drink liquor in the United Arab Emirates.
Earlier, licence was compulsory for buying, consuming and supplying liquor in the UAE.
The UAE government has passed a new law under which an unmarried couple could live together and consume liquor. However, liquor can be consumed by people above 21 years of age.
After the new law, the unmarried couples will face no legal issue in living together.
Foreigners living in all the states of the UAE will be allowed to follow the laws related to the heritage and divorce as per their native countries.
