No Qadiani included in National Minority Commission: minister

Islamabad: Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri on Tuesday said that the cabinet had approved the national minority commission, which has no member from the Qadiani community.

In a statment here, the minister said that the cabinet had approved the summary of the religious ministry.

A member from Sindh’s Hindu community, Chela Ram, will head the commission, he added.

The national minority commission comprises three members each from Hindu and Christian communities, two from Sikh while one each from Kailash and Parsi communities.

Mufti Gulzar Naeemi and Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad would be Muslim members of the commission.

The minister cleared that no Qadiani was included in the commission.
