ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has ordered authorities to ensure that no load-shedding is carried out during Sehri and Iftar timings during the holy month of Ramadan.
PM Sharif ordered that no load-shedding be carried out an hour before Sehri and until 30 minutes after start of fasting. Similarly, he instructed the Water and Power Ministry to ensure that load-shedding does not take place from 4:30PM to 10:00PM in the evening to ensure citizens do not have to suffer from power outages in the summer heat at Iftar time.
The prime minister’s orders came a day before the start of the first day of the holy month, during which Muslims are required to fast from sunrise to sunset.
