SRINAGAR, Occupied Kashmir: Streets lines with closed shops and malls are deserted with razor wire and steel barricades cutting off streets in the valley.

Tens of thousands of Indian soldiers wearing riot gear are seen patrolling the streets.

Complete silence has blanketed the valley which is broken only when a security vehicle whizzing past or the cawing of crows.

The extra-ordinary security lockdown with complete communications blackout has entered a fifth day on Friday.
